Dr. Neeru Ramaswami is a pediatric dental specialist certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She received her Dental degree from India, a Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Northern Colorado.  Dr. Ramaswami is also certified by the Academy of Laser Dentistry for use of Laser in dentistry. Dr. Ramaswami has been inducted as a   Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry for outstanding, continued contribution to the field of Pediatric Dentistry since 2008.

Prior to opening her private practice, Dr.Ramaswami was practicing at Mott Children’s Health Center in Flint, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in Genesee County. She has also served as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Michigan in the Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry and Hurley Medical Center.  She is currently affiliated with Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.  

Dr. Ramaswami has a special interest infant oral health, and in treating children with special health care needs, and has served on the Michigan Department of Public Health Strategic Planning Commission for Children with special health needs. She is also passionate about promoting breastfeeding awareness, and helps many infants, children and families by performing tongue tie releases with Laser.  Her advocacy efforts for underprivileged children, and work with her medical colleagues were recognized with the Child Health Care Provider Award in 2008 to honor her work as an outstanding child advocate in Genesee County.

Dr. Ramaswami has spoken at various Continuing Dental and Medical Education courses on the topic of Infant and Toddler oral health through the Michigan Dental Association, and the Michigan State University School of Medicine.

She has served as a liaison to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Michigan chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics. She has also served on the editorial board of the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She enjoys reading, shopping on Amazon, and loves spending time with her family. She lives in Okemos with her husband Vinod and her two daughters Vineeta and Nikitha.
